To do big things, you have to make big noise. In Austin, Texas, the up-and-coming country duo Moonlight Social is doing just that. Mixing a penchant for flowing melodies, poignant lyrics and powerful vocals, Jeremy Burchard and Jennica Scott, alongside a talented collection of musicians, combine their talents to offer a sound that is wholly accessible yet undeniably refreshing.

Since being founded in early 2011, Moonlight Social has released a debut self-produced EP (May 2011), released to glowing reviews the full-length debut "Heading South" produced by Matt Noveskey (Blue October’s bassist), and been rewarded with numerous, career-changing opportunities. Included in these achievements are: a SXSW showcase as selected by nine-time GRAMMY-winner Ray Benson, winning a GRAMMY-sponsored showcase from the board of governors for the Texas Chapter of The Recording Academy, beating out nearly 100 Austin bands to win the 2011 Austin Chronicle Sound Wars, being crowned the victor of the GRAMMY-sponsored “Show Us Your Hits” competition, and having the song “Neither Are You” chosen as judge’s selection for the Indaba Music songwriting showcase.

In 2013, Moonlight Social was named one of the Best New Bands in Austin and was featured as a rising artist on Nashville-produced TV show, “Welcome To Indie Country.”  As fall is ushered in and 2014 begins to draw to a close, the duo is celebrating the gifts of the season early! They graced the stage of the sold-out Country USA Festival in Wisconsin, represented Texas at Indie Week Canada 2014, placed among the Top 4 (out of 25 finalists) in The Recording Conservatory of Austin’s “Unsigned Artist Competition 2014,” competed as a finalist for Indstruktibl Clothing line’s “IND Phenom Talent Search 2014,” and are touring to Georgia to play Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Social Club.

The pair has toured Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and more sharing the stage with Eli Young Band, Florida Georgia Line, Jack Ingram, Hayes Carll, Thomas Rhett, The Dirty River Boys, Two Tons of Steel, and many more.

Stay tuned — There’s much more to come from Moonlight Social!
